Frequently Asked Questions
How does the chess clock work for two players?
Each player starts with the same amount of time. Press your side button to start your opponent clock and stop yours. Optional increment adds seconds after each move. When a player time reaches zero, they lose on time.
What is Fischer increment?
Fischer increment (named after Bobby Fischer) adds a fixed number of seconds to a player clock after each move. For example, with a 10+5 setting, each player starts with 10 minutes and gains 5 seconds after every move. This prevents time trouble in long games.
Can I use this for board games other than chess?
Yes. This chess clock works for any two-player turn-based game: checkers, Go, Scrabble, Stratego, or any game where players alternate turns. Set the starting time and increment to match your game.
